• According to the Law of the Republic of Indonesia number 40 year 1999 on the Press, chapter 1 General provisions Article 1 Point 14 explains that the code of journalistic ethics is a set of professional ethics of journalism.
10 codes of ethics of journalism by PWI (Persatuan Wartawan Indonesia):
1. Journalists must be faithful and pious to the only one God, spirited Pancasila and obey the basic laws of the state of RI.

7. The coverage should be able to build towards a better society, should not demean a person. Except the person has a negative impact on society.
8. In the moral nature of news, journalists are prohibited from harming the victim in any way.
9. Journalists should always introduce themself to the informant, that they are a journalist. They also must ask politely to get their materials.
10. Journalists should be by self-consciously perform error when there is news that is not accurate, and should be done quickly. In addition, journalists should provide an opportunity for speakers to use the right of reply.
